Let's Get Acquainted

Thank you for visiting my site.  I hope you'll not only follow my journey but engage with me through comments and questions.

My husband and I are celebrating our 39th anniversary this year!  How can that be?  We have two grown daughters and two sweet granddaughters,  (And, one grand-dog.  My husband refers to him as a "grand."  But he doesn't hold a candle to the other two!!!)

I have a pretty diverse background.  I worked in banking for ten years when I was young.  Started as a teller and wore many hats until I was a direct report of the regional President.  I left there to be home with our young daughters for 5 years.  Then I became a part-time licensed Life Insurance Assistant while the girls were in grade school.  Working in a small office I learned a lot about insurance and about running a small business.  When the agent I worked for moved out of state, he introduced me to another business owner in the real estate and new construction field.  I became a licensed insurance agent and worked there for 15 years.  Again learning so much from the owners about running a small business, caring for employees well, and the real estate/construction business.  Since leaving that company I have done a lot of volunteering at organizations that I am passionate about.  I also do coaching; which I love.

I started my website in 2019 as a blog and a way to promote my coaching practice.  I love sitting with people to learn about their story and help them grow and make progress toward their dreams and goals.

I've struggled with some mental health issues including depression for most of my adult live.  And, on September 22, 2022 I had a mammogram that lead to a breast cancer diagnosis.  My blogs will reflect my story.  I hope that they will be an encouragement to you.
